Eric Geadelmann - Founder, Chairman & CEO
Mr. Geadelmann entered the media and entertainment world in 2003 with the world premiere of his critically-acclaimed debut film, The Dance – The Billy Roth Story. Mr. Geadelmann wrote and produced The Dance, and Academy Award winner Nicolas Cage executive produced. The success of this film prompted the launch of 821.
Previously, Mr. Geadelmann co-founded a venture capital backed healthcare information technology company (CareSteps, Inc.) with predictive modeling pioneer Dr. Jeffrey Rice (see below), that pioneered web-based applications of advanced artificial intelligence for disease prediction modeling. The company successfully merged with the nation’s largest disease management company (Healthways, Inc.).
A former international management consultant, Mr. Geadelmann served as a principal for publicly traded consultancy Navigant Consulting, Inc. and co-developed the healthcare technology division, Axonal Health Solutions; also with Dr. Rice. Mr. Geadelmann served in senior executive level business development positions, creating and developing new ventures for Duke University Medical Center & New York Life Insurance Company’s managed healthcare subsidiary; Coastal Physician Group & Horizon Healthcare Group.
A graduate of Baylor University, Mr. Geadelmann was a member of the Baylor Bears Liberty Bowl and Bluebonnet Bowl championship football teams and was awarded the Glen O. Hilborn “Most Outstanding Senior Man” award. Continuing education initiatives include coursework at Coventry Seminary.
Anastasia Brown – Co-Founder, President
A constant fixture on red carpets and consistently featured in national publications & industry trades (Vogue, Variety, Fitness & Muscle, etc.), Ms. Brown is uniquely talented – both on camera and behind the lens. Prior to partnering with Mr. Geadelmann to build 821, she was music mogul Miles Copeland’s partner in Firstars Management and Ark21 Records where she built the Nashville division including the launch of superstar Keith Urban, and the production of critically acclaimed and commercially successful music projects including artists such as Sting, Waylon Jennings, Peter Frampton, Leon Russell, Mark Knopfler, etc.
Moving beyond artist management and record label A&R duties, Ms. Brown turned her focus to Hollywood – specifically, bridging the gap between Nashville & the “greater Heartland” and LA – beginning with film and television music supervising and then into producing. Credits include projects with Steven Spielberg and Quentin Tarantino and most recently the critically-acclaimed Warner Brothers modern-day musical, August Rush, which was nominated for an Academy Award. Ms. Brown has been a highly regarded celebrity judge on USA Networks’ Nashville Star television series for 3 seasons and April 2008 will be the release of her debut book Make Me A Star, for Thomas Nelson Publishing.
A University of Florida graduate, Ms. Brown is extremely involved in her community as well as national and international causes; including serving as a board member of the T.J. Martell Foundation.
Mr. Horton is a producer who most recently partnered with Hunt Lowry & Roserock Films to finance and produce the Warner Brothers comedy, Thou Shalt Laugh. Mr. Horton spearheads 821’s “Faith & Family” division from the Company’s Colorado Springs office.
The founder and president of commercial real estate development company, Bencor Development, Mr. Horton is one of the most successful retail developers in the United States and has developed over 150 Walgreens in eleven western states. Mr. Horton oversees 821’s real estate and studio infrastructure development.
In pursuit of a lifelong ambition to produce motion pictures that are both entertaining and inspirational, Mr. Horton created film finance, development and production company Wild Fiesta Pictures and partnered with producer Hunt Lowry/Roserock Films to develop multiple projects.
An honors graduate from the University of New Mexico, Mr. Horton is an active philanthropist and created the Peter Doherty Lectureship endowment for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
Mr. Chalfant was most recently a Senior Vice President and National Practice Leader for Wachovia Corporation where he managed a $100 million division with over 300 employees in 30 offices and developed and managed interactive strategies, including both B2B and B2C channels. In addition, Chalfant was a member of Wachovia’s mergers and acquisitions team that acquired and integrated six acquisitions with combined valuations of approximately $750 million.
Previously, Mr. Chalfant was a Vice President for Willis, the world’s third largest insurance intermediary; was a Vice President in two early stage managed healthcare companies where he reported to Mr. Geadelmann (Duke University/New York Life/WellPath & Coastal Physician Group/Doctors Health Plan) and founded a web-based benchmark analytics company, Benchmark Source, which was successfully acquired.
Mr. Chalfant graduated from Miami University.
Jeffrey Rice, MD, JD - CEO 821 Informatics
Dr. Rice has over 25 years of information technology, executive management and entrepreneurial experience within international consulting firms and academic medical institutions; national health plans and disease management companies, technology start-ups and research organizations. A highly regarded expert in data-mining, Dr. Rice pioneered applications of advanced artificial intelligence for predictive modeling.
Most recently, Dr. Rice has been involved in a healthcare venture capital fund and served as an independent director for various information technology and healthcare companies. Previously, Dr. Rice served as EVP, Medical Leadership and Business Development for Healthways, Inc., the largest disease management company in the U.S. Dr. Rice was Chairman and CEO for CareSteps, Inc., a medical intelligence IT company he founded that successfully merged with Healthways. Previously, Dr, Rice was a principal in international management consultancy, Navigant Consulting, where he founded the healthcare IT division. Prior to that, Dr. Rice served in executive management positions with New York Life Insurance Company’s managed healthcare subsidiary and as a Director of the Managed Care Organization at Duke University.
After receiving undergraduate degrees with multiple honors at the University of Texas at Austin, Dr. Rice graduated from Duke University Schools of Medicine and Law with high honors and completed Duke’s radiology residency training program.
Carrie Simons – Vice President of Communications

Formerly a senior director of corporate entertainment at Los Angeles based B/W/R Public Relations (an Ogilvy company) where she managed publicity for BET, WWE, Regency Television, Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve, Billboard Music Awards, etc., Ms. Simons boasts nearly a decade of high-level entertainment based public relations and communications experience.
Previously, Ms. Simons was a public relations executive at NBC Entertainment where she handled every genre of network programming including six years of late-night for “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno” reality and scripted primetime series, music specials (including Tim McGraw, Faith Hill, Elton John and The Eagles) award shows including the “Radio City Music Awards” and much more.
A Young Hollywood board member of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Ms. Simons graduated Cum Laude from Princeton University where she was a member of the Princeton Women’s Golf Team.
